/Mary Murray, at 97
Mary [Kelly] Murray, of Hull, died Dec. 29. She was 97.
Mrs. Murray grew up in Glasgow, Scotland. She spent many years as a seamstress and made beautiful clothes for her children. She also made parachutes for soldiers during WWII.
Family was the cornerstone of Mrs. Murray’s life, and she loved to spend time with the grandchildren. Loving wife of the late James Murray; she was the beloved mother of James Murray and the late Jean of England, Mary Boyle and the late Thomas of Hull, Ann Gilbert and her husband, Daniel, of Hull, Helen Singleton of Hingham, and the late Martha and John High. Mrs. Murray was the sister of Tricia, Annie, and Mary; and proud Granny of 13 and Great-Granny of 13. She was predeceased by her siblings: Martha, Jack, Sadie, Madge, and Helen.
