Betty R. Colangeli, at 81

A private graveside service will be held Saturday at the Hull Village Cemetery for Betty Ruth [Byrd] Colangeli.
Mrs. Colangeli, 81, of Palm Bay, Florida, died Sunday, Nov. 27.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of Joseph Brown Byrd and Ruth Belle [Bryan], she graduated from Southwest High School. She met her husband, Hull resident Bernard Leo Colangeli, while he was serving in the Air Force in Amarillo, Texas. They initially made their home in Hull, but soon moved to Rumney, NH, where together they raised three boys and were the owner-operators of the Mountain View Motel and Colangeli’s Cash Market. Later in her life, Mrs. Colangeli became a CNA and got much joy in the capacity of a private duty nurse.
Upon retirement, the couple moved to Florida, where they finished out their 53 happy years together. Mr. Colangeli died in 2007.
She is survived by her brother, Richard Byrd, and his wife, Evelyn, of Texas; sons Michael and his wife, Michele, of Florida, William and his wife, Tina, of New Hampshire, Bernard Jr. and Carol, also of New Hampshire; three grandchildren, Angela Valliancourt and husband, Tracy, Anthony Colangeli and his wife, Melissa, Carol Hyslop and her husband, Kenneth, all of New Hampshire; five great-grandchildren: Americo, Justin, Samantha, Jonathan, and Dominick; two great-great-grandchildren: Zachary and Alan; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held on Saturday at the Village Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
