George T. McManus, at 87
George “Sonny” T. McManus, 87, of Quincy and Hull, died peacefully at home on Dec. 9, surrounded by loved ones.
Mr. McManus retired from Stride Rite Shoe Co. after more than 40 years of hard work. He enjoyed camping, dancing, and playing the lottery. He enjoyed his winters in Florida and his summers in Hull. He was involved in the Renegades Drum and Bugle Corps for many years.
The husband of the late Helen [Roy] McManus; he leaves his children: Joseph McManus, Kathleen Hall, and John McManus, all of Quincy, seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. McManus also is survived by his longtime companion, Mary Moriarty, and is loved by the extended Moriarty family including Patricia [Moriarty] Petrilli of Hull.
