Obituary: Richard T. Dion

Richard T. Dion, at 61
Hull resident Richard T. “Tad” Dion died Dec. 7, after surgery at South Shore Hospital. He was 61.
Mr. Dion was born in North Carolina, the first of eight children born to Patricia and Richard Dion. The family returned to Brookline when Mr. Dion was a baby, then later moved to Hull, where he resided for the last 50 years.
Mr. Dion was married to Susan Stenhouse Norris on June 20, 1998. Their loving relationship spanned 35 years of endearing and enduring memories.
Mr. Dion is survived by his beloved wife; a stepson, John Norris; and grandchildren Jarid, Allison, and Aurora; sisters Charlotte Dion and Mary Brady; brothers John Dion and Christopher Dion; nieces and nephews Sean Dion, Lenore Long, Mark Dion, Elizabeth Brady, Samantha, Ashley, Emily, and William Dion; greatnephews and -nieces Mason, Norah, Elsie, and Wyatt. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dion was predeceased by several siblings: Mark, Rose, and Patrick.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 14 at Saint Ann’s Church in Hull, followed by a graveside ceremony at Hull Village Cemetery. A memorial has been established at http://richard-thaddeus-dion.forevermissed.com. Please visit and share your memories
