Dorothy J. Chase

Dorothy J. (McMullin) Chase, of Braintree, died Jan. 20.  

Dot loved her family and hosting holiday gatherings. She was a great cook and enjoyed knitting, walking, trips to the casino, and being on a bowling league. She had lots of friends from her time at Grove Manor whom she cherished dearly. She was a loving mother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Beloved wife of the late Robert F. Chase, she was the loving mother of Judith Chase-Morrow and her husband, John, of Weymouth; Richard Chase and his wife, Debra, of Hull; William Chase and his companion, Laurie Kessinger, of Hull; and the late Jane Chase. She was cherished “Grammy Dot” of Brian Chase of Ashland, N.H., and Thomas Chase, of Hull, and great-grandmother of Annabelle Chase. 

She was the loving sister of Nancy McMullin and Barbara Black, both of Florida; Claire Zeiba, of Quincy; Alice Bickford, of Bridgewater; and the late George McMullin. She was aunt to special nieces Katelyn and Jacqulyn Chase, of Hull, and is also survived by many additional nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, from 4-7 p.m., in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central Street), Hingham; a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. The family requests that masks be worn.
