Obituary: William E. ‘Eddie’ Peacock

William E. ‘Eddie’ Peacock, 75

William Edward (Eddie) Peacock of Hull died Feb. 4  at 75.

Mr. Peacock was born on Aug. 22, 1946 to William D. Peacock and Helen (Alliss) Peacock.

He was a beloved uncle to Scott Noddin and his wife, Courtney, Melissa Noddin, and Tina MacEachern. He was a beloved great uncle to Patrick, Amber, and Makaela MacEachern, who lovingly referred to him as Okee Dokie or Uncle B. He was brother of the late Dorothy Noddin and David Peacock, and is survived by his sisters, Carol Carney and Helen Feist, brother Dennis Peacock and his wife, Lois. Mr. Peacock also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Peacock grew up in Winthrop by the ocean. He enjoyed fishing and working on boats with his father. The family eventually relocated to Hull, where he graduated from Hull High School. Mr. Peacock held many jobs that included working in the Hingham Shipyard, a long career in HVAC at Bank Boston, and Lowe’s. He will be fondly remembered as a kind and giving person by his family and friends. He loved helping people and was always there when someone needed a hand, and always was giving back to the community, whether it was volunteering with the Marching Pirates or coaching Hull Youth Soccer. He loved being involved in his community.

He was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching the Bruins and the New York Giants. In his later years, he enjoyed singing along to the oldies (but goodies) and loved a good bowl of ice cream.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, Feb. 17, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., Hingham.
