Barbara E. Fisher, at 77

Barbara E. [Harvey] Fisher, 77, died peacefully–surrounded by her loving family–on Friday, Sept. 23.
Mrs. Fisher was born in Boston, then raised and educated in Jamaica Plain. She settled in Hull in 1971. She and her family loved the beach and have many fond memories of summers here. She was known by her family and friends for being kind, gentle, generous, and a selfless mother. She loved her trips to Aruba and her cat, Gizmo.
Her family is thankful for the final moments they spent with her, reminiscing about their life. Mrs. Fisher is survived by her beloved children: Kim McArdle and her fiancé, Scott Williams, of Rutland, Walter Delaney Jr. of Weymouth, John Delaney and his wife, Karen, of Haverhill, Matthew Delaney and his wife, Roberta, of Brockton, and Christopher Delaney and his wife, Sharon, of Hull. She was the loving sister of Mary F. Matthews and the late David W. Harvey; and also is survived by nine cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Thursday, Sept. 29, from 4-6 p.m. in the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.), Weymouth. Following visitation, her funeral service will begin promptly at 6 p.m.
