Obituary: Jeffrey A. Lilja

Jeffrey A. Lilja, 41
Jeffrey A. Lilja, of Hull, died on April 18. He was 41.
Jeffrey was born in Norwood on May 29, 1979, to Linda Nordblom and Mark Lilja. After moving in 1990 to Hull with her two sons, Linda met and married Robert Tuscher and they became a family.
Jeffrey enjoyed working in carpentry and masonry, music and dancing, and especially techno music. He also enjoyed fishing and cooking with his family. One of his favorite pastimes was working out at the gym.
He was a kind and loving person, full of life, and he loved having fun. There was never a dull moment with Jeffrey, from filleting and skinning fish on his parents’ front lawn to forgetting about the steaks he was cooking, which ended up beautifully burnt to a crisp.
He was the person to give you a hard time for no other reason than to give you a hard time. He loved with all his heart, lived like every day was the last, and laughed like there was no tomorrow.
Jeffrey is survived by his parents, Linda and Robert Tuscher, of Hull; his father, Mark Lilja, of Arizona; his brother, Kristopher, of Braintree; his fiancé, Kristine Kozdra, of Hull;  his children, Elizabeth and Elijah, of Hull, and Alyshia Kozdra of Methuen; and his grandparents, Dorothy and Eric Kempainen. He was the beloved “Uncle Crunchy” of Taryn, Jacey, Karysa, and Catie Lilja, of Braintree. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Services were held at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel on April 25; a private burial service was scheduled for a later date at the Westwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jeffrey’s beneficiary fund, which has been opened at Rockland Trust for his two children, Elizabeth and Elijah.
