Obituary: Dorothy Klayman

Dorothy Klayman, at 85
Dorothy [Winkeller] Klayman, a longtime resident of Hull whom everyone knew as Dodie, died Dec. 14 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. 
Mrs. Klayman grew up on Browning Avenue in Dorchester, graduating from Dorchester High School in 1950. She met her husband, Myron Klayman, soon after, and they were married in 1954. They celebrated 60 wonderful years together in 2014. 
Mrs. Klayman attended Boston University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in education in 1954. Following her graduation, she was an elementary school teacher in Hingham. For many years, she worked summers alongside her husband, sisters, children, and other family members at the much-loved Paragon Park at Nantasket Beach. She later became a licensed real estate broker and co-founded Sea Coast Homes, a residential real estate firm based in Hull. 
Mrs. Klayman was an active member of Temple Beth Sholom and a lifetime member of Hadassah. 
She was predeceased by her husband, Myron, and her sisters, Phyllis Stone and Sylvia Gelfand. She is survived by her loving family, including her children: Neil Klayman and his wife, Adrienne Brenner, of California; Barry Klayman and his wife, Elyse Mall, of New York; and Lisa Aronson and her husband, Neil, of Massachusetts. She was the cherished grandmother of Noah and Julia Klayman and Jake and Benjamin Aronson. 
Funeral services were held last Sunday.
