Obituary: Judith Kalish
/Judith Kalish, at 88
Judith Kalish, 88, passed away peacefully in her home at Orchard Cove in Canton on January 24, 2025. Mrs. Kalish was surrounded by her family in her final hours and passed knowing that she was so well loved. She lived a full life and enjoyed every moment of that life, residing in Hull, where she and her late husband, Irving, raised their three children.
Mrs. Kalish worked at Talbots for many years, but really her passion was her family, her friends, and a long day at the beach. She was famous for making enough tuna sandwiches to feed everyone in “the circle” and beyond. She was also passionate about her community at Temple Beth Sholom and could be found there on almost any day cooking up something in the kitchen.
Mrs. Kalish was predeceased by her beloved husband, Irving, in 2021 and never quite knew how to go on without him by her side. She moved into Orchard Cove at the age of 85 and formed amazing friendships that sustained her for the three years that she was there. She also became an integral part of the Orchard Cove community and her family will be forever grateful to the staff and residents who became a part of her family.
Mrs. Kalish is survived by her children, Sheryl Sacharoff and her husband, Alex; Neal Kalish and his wife, Lisa; and Cindy Kalish and her wife, Martha. She is survived by her grandchildren: Justin, Cory, Hannah and her fiancée Kevin, AnaBella, Andrew, Harrison, Nicholas, and Samuel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and very dear friends. Mrs. Kalish loved everyone immediately and loved nothing more than feeding her whole family and anyone who would come by.
Funeral services were held Monday at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel in Canton, with burial following immediately at Sharon Memorial Park.
