/Mary Ann ‘Mimi’ Belyea, at 86
Mary Ann “Mimi” Belyea of Plymouth, formerly a longtime resident of Hull, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024. She was 86.
She was born in Weymouth to Margaret (O’Hare) and Wallace Richardson and raised in Hull. She graduated from Hingham High School in 1955. Mrs. Belyea was a hard worker who often held multiple jobs concurrently. She worked many years as a bookkeeper for the Town of Hull and she also managed several auto repair businesses she co-owned with her husband, Walter.
Family was most important to Mrs. Belyea. She enjoyed spending family time during the many pool parties she hosted. She was very generous and loved spoiling her stepchildren, nieces, and nephews, especially during the holidays. She also believed in giving back to those less fortunate and supported many charitable organizations.
Mrs. Belyea loved to travel and had very happy memories of the many years she spent with her husband and friends in St. Martin. She also enjoyed trips to casinos, doing puzzles at home, and spending time with her beloved dogs.
Beloved wife of 47 years of Walter Belyea of Plymouth. Devoted stepmother of Alan Belyea and his wife, Kastin, of Germany, and David Belyea of Falmouth. Cherished grandmother of Sarah, Nastasha, Levi, and Jack. Loving sister-in-law of Madeline Richardson of Hull, Barbara Morris and her husband, Rick, of Quincy, and Charlie Belyea and his wife, Lisa, of Pembroke. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and siblings Wally Richardson, Terry Richardson, and Gail Coggins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mrs. Belyea’s funeral service on Saturday, January 20 at 11 a.m. at the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., Hingham. Cremation will follow.
