Obituary: Josephine Marascio
/Josephine Marascio, 72
Josephine (Truglia) Marascio of Hull, formerly of Italy, died suddenly on Saturday, Feb. 5. She was 72 years old.
She was born in Palermiti, Italy, to Antonio and Maria Truglia. Growing up she traveled back and forth from her home in Italy to the US, where she attended Hingham School.
Mrs. Marascio worked at the Cohasset High School with the cafeteria staff for 32 years. She enjoyed her work, especially those she worked with, and made many great friendships in her time there.
In her spare time, Mrs. Marascio was an excellent cook, loved to travel with family to her family home in Italy, and being a devout Catholic, she prayed every chance she could get. She was a beautiful person who had love and truly cared for everyone she knew. She will be remembered for her kindness, consideration and generosity.
Mrs. Marascio was the beloved wife of 52 years of Pietro Marascio of Hull, the loving mother of Antonella Avitabile and her husband, Robert, Rosemarie Loiacono and her husband, Natale, Patricia Marascio, and Francesca Marascio. She was the cherished grandmother of Alexia Maria and Ava Rose Avitabile, Emily and Giulia Loiacono, and Arianna Clifford, and the loving sister of Maria Aiello and her brother-in-law, Anthony Aiello. Mrs. Marascio also is survived by her nephews Frank, Anthony, Robert, and Danilo Aiello and their families.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday, Feb. 12, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St, Hingham. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. on Monday prior to the funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery.
