/Geraldine A. Jones, 59
Geraldine A. Jones, of Hull and formerly of Clarence, N.J., died after a long illness on Sept. 30 at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham. She was 59.
Born in Plainfield, N.J., on April 20, 1961, she was raised in Buffalo, N.Y., and attended local schools. She continued her education at Buffalo State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
Geraldine worked in automotive sales for many years and loved her career. She enjoyed working with the public and valued all the relationships she built over the years.
In her spare time, she was a sailor and loved to be out on her boat in the ocean. For a short time, she owned a hot air balloon and would offer rides to the public. She was also a voracious reader and collected many books.
She had a very big personality and was always the life of the party. People were drawn to her and she to them. Spending time with family and friends was one of her favorite things.
Geraldine was a cherished daughter of Edward S. Jones and Mary (DiVito) Jones, of Augusta, Ga. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary. She was the dear sister of Stephen Jones, of Virginia, and Lori Jones and her husband, Dan Welden, of New York. She was the adored aunt of Isla Welden, of New York, and is also survived by many loving cousins, extended family members, and friends.
