Obituary: Richard P. Delmonico

Richard P. Delmonico, at 91
Richard P. Delmonico died Feb. 10. He was 91.
Mr. Delmonico adored his family, especially his wife, and was always so proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a sports fanatic, specifically about football, and loved to eat. 
He worked in the family business and then went on to be a landscaper all over Massachusetts – work in which he took great pride. Mr. Delmonico cared about everyone else and always put others before himself. He was kind and had unconditional love for those around him.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Beloved husband of 61 years to the late Joan E. Delmonico, he was the loving father of Janet E. Delmonico, of Hull; Richard P. Delmonico Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Hull; Ronald J. Delmonico and his wife, Susan, of Whitman; and Joanne Hughes and her husband, Michael, of Hull. He was the brother of Robert Delmonico, of Hingham; Raymond Delmonico, of Hull; Norma Dunn, of Norwell; and Marion Delmonico, of Rockland.
He is survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. 
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday, from 4-8 p.m., in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central Street), Hingham. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Saturday prior to the funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Church, Hull, at 10.
Burial at Hull Village Cemetery will follow.
