Obituary: Walter F. Bouchie

Walter F. Bouchie, at 75
Walter F. Bouchie, 75, died in Port Charlotte, Fla., on Tuesday, July 24.
He was a retired Hull police detective and a U.S. Army veteran, who served during the Vietnam War. He was an avid motorcycle lover and was a member of the Florida Road Dawgs.
He also belonged to the American Legion, the VFW, the AMVETS, and the Moose Lodge.
Mr. Bouchie was born in Hingham in 1943 to Ernest and Dorothy Bouchie. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Valentine) Bouchie; his son, Walter Doucette; and two stepsons, Michael and Joshua Brugnola. Mr. Bouchie also leaves three grandsons, Anthony, Matthew, and Giovanni Brugnola; his siblings, Ernest Bouchie, Marie Hoover, James Bouchie, and Jeanie Hagerty; and his mother-in-law, Mary Valentine; and many brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, a great-niece, and great-nephews. We are also not to forget his beloved pup, Sissy.
His funeral Mass was held Wednesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, followed by interment of cremated remains with military honors at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Florida.
