Obituary: John F. Roche

John F. Roche, at 70
John F. Roche died March 25 at age 70. 
Mr. Roche was a Hull resident for 40-plus years and a graduate of Hull High School. He was a man of many trades, starting his career as a union steamfitter and ending his career working for the carpenters union as a pile driver with Local No. 56.
Mr. Roche took an interest in many hobbies. He spent his better days working on anything with a motor and building computers, gardening, fishing, pistol shooting, and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren. Mr. Roche believed in taking every opportunity to teach himself, as well as others. 
He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association and was an avid target shooter at the Braintree Rifle/Pistol Club. He was one of a kind and will be missed by many. 
He was the beloved husband of Mary Granger Roche of Hull; loving father of Keri Daniel and her husband, Cary, of Germantown, Md.; Kelli Eriksson and her husband, Mark, of Hagerstown, Md.; Nadina Cheney and her husband, Russ, and Jenny Roche and her companion, Bryan Cyr, all of Rockland, and the late Lisa Roche. 
He was the brother of Robert Roche and his wife, Jackie, and Jean Thomas, all of Hull; Brian Roche, of Kingston; and the late Sheila Roche. He was cherished Pop Pop of Tyler and Erin Daniel and RJ, Ryan, and Ryder Cheney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday, 4-8 p.m., in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., Hingham. His funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hull Village Cemetery.
