Larry Hand, at 66
Larry Hand, 66, of Hull, died Dec. 5, after an accidental fall. He was born in Bowdon, Georgia and was graduated from George Washington University with a degree in journalism. He worked in that field for many years, first as a reporter for The New York Times and then as editor for several scientific magazines. He was also was the founding editor of Neurology Today and managing editor for the Columbia Gazetteer of the World, a complete listing of all geographical places on earth.
Mr. Hand is survived by Margaret “Mickey” Hand, his wife of 33 years; daughters Joan Hand, Elizabeth Hand Hykel and her husband, John, and Cassie Hand; and a granddaughter, all of Philadelphia.
