Obituary: Constance H. Lucas

Constance H. Lucas, at 85
Constance “Connie” H. [Sauter] Lucas, a longtime resident of Hull, died peacefully on March 10, surrounded by her family. She was 85.
Mrs. Lucas was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y.; she moved to Hingham when she was 17. She was a graduate of Hingham High School Class of 1949. She met her late husband and the couple resided in Hingham for a few years when, in 1957, they decided to move to Hull. 
Mrs. Lucas was a bookkeeper/accountant for Stephan & Rodgers in Hingham for 17 years, she then worked for All-Tech of Rockland. She worked for the Hull Sewer Commission for eight years before her retirement in 1995. She loved reading, sewing, and cooking.
The wife of the late Francis Lucas and sister of the late Margaret J. Kenny; Mrs. Lucas leaves her children: Robert F. Lucas and his wife, Kathleen, of Holbrook, Peter J. Lucas and his wife, Cathy-Jo, of Kansas, and Jeffrey J. Lucas and his wife, Dawn, of Taunton; as well as her grandchildren, Suzanne and her husband, Jarrod, Nicole and her husband, George, Alexandra and her fiancé, Mike, Danielle and her husband, Chris, Ryan; a great granddaughter, Morgan, and a great grandson, Jason. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her close friend Melanie.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday, 2-4 p.m., in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home 809 Main St., South Weymouth, followed by a funeral home service at 4 p.m.
