Obituary: William B. Cross

William B. Cross, at 66

William B. Cross of Hull passed away on Jan. 30, 2023 at the age of 66.

Mr. Cross was born in Boston, raised in Hingham, and graduated from Hingham High School and the University of Maine. He leaves his children, Benjamin Cross and Jenna Cross of Hingham, his brother Dana Otis Cross of New Orleans, and his ex-wife and friend Kim Cross of Hingham. He was predeceased by his parents, Jay R. Cross and Priscilla R. (Bolles) Cross.

After a brief career in forestry management, Mr. Cross worked in purchasing and claims management, employed by Kaiser Engineers, Bechtel Engineers, the Shaw Group, and most recently, the Massachusetts School Building Authority.

Mr. Cross enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid sports fan. He participated in high school football, wrestling, and played rugby for the Worcester, South Shore, and Quincy teams. He was a lifelong sailor and a member of the Hull Yacht Club.

Family, friends, and neighbors are invited to attend a memorial to be held at The Parrot restaurant on Nantasket Avenue on March 18 from 2-5 p.m. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Cross’s name can be made to Beth Israel Cancer Vaccine and Immunotherapy Research.
