Valerie Kaufman, at 62
Valerie (Sherman) Kaufman entered into rest, at the age of 62, on April 14 after a period of failing health. 
She was the beloved wife of Wayne Kaufman and devoted mother of Jonathan Kaufman and his wife, Emily, and Margo Solomon and her husband, Robert; she was the cherished grandmother of Evan, Jake, Sydney, and Jason.
Mrs. Kaufman was preceded in death by her parents, Myron and Evelyn (Lack) Sherman; her brother, Lawrence (“Woody”) Sherman; her sister, Claire Sherman; and her canine companion, Li’l Baby, aka “Stinky.”
Services were held Tuesday at Temple Emanuel in Newton. Interment was at Sharon Memorial Park.
