Eleanor M. Urbati, at 82
Eleanor M. (MacMurray) Urbati, a longtime Hingham resident, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Dec. 20. She was 82.
Born in Hingham, she was raised in Hull and was the daughter of the late James MacMurray and Eleanor (DeSimone) Santilli. Mrs. Urbati graduated from Hingham High School with the class of 1953.
She worked at Quincy Medical Center as a telephone operator. Mrs. Urbati enjoyed her work and the relationships she built over the years. Her career afforded her the opportunity to help people in their time of need and serve her community. She happily retired in 2008, after more than 30 years of service.
A woman of great faith, Mrs. Urbati modeled her life around the pillars of faith, hope, and love. She raised her family with devotion and instilled in her children morals and values. Her strong character, life lessons, and legacy continue through her children and grandchildren.
In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping at her favorite store, Marshalls, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends. She was most proud of her family and cherished the time she spent with them.
She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald R. Urbati, who died in 2011. The two married in 1964 and together shared many loving years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of David Nardo and his partner, Nancy Camerlengo, of Hingham; and Robin Reilly and her husband, Neil, of Hull. She was also the loving grandmother of Neil and Natalie Reilly, both of Hull.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday, Dec. 27, from 4-8 p.m., in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., Hingham. Her funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m, Friday, Dec. 28, at the funeral home. Services will conclude with interment in Hingham Cemetery, Hingham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to a veteran organization of one’s choice.
