Obituary: John R. Trubia

John R. Trubia, at 57
John R. Trubia died Jan. 8, after a period of failing health. He was 57.
Mr. Trubia was the owner of J.R. Trubia Construction for many years. He was a devoted member of the Hull Village community and helped build the Village park. He enjoyed playing all sports and especially watching children play hockey once the Village Green froze over each year. Every week, he carried out a family tradition of Sunday pasta dinner for the entire family. His main passion in life was spending time with his family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.  
Cherished son of Elizabeth [Anderson] Trubia of Hull and the late Salvatore Trubia; he was the loving father of Nick Trubia and his wife, Beth, of Hull, Joe Trubia and his wife, Tia, of Marshfield, and Lorraine Trubia and Taylor Trubia, both of Marshfield. Mr. Trubia also was the devoted Papa of Sophia, Johnny, Louis, Henry, and Quinn. The caring former husband of Trinka Trubia of Marshfield; he was the beloved brother of Michael Trubia and his wife, Eileen, of Connecticut, James Trubia and his wife, Jo-ann, and Lawrence Trubia and his wife, Margaret, all of Hull. Adored nephew of Grace Anderson of Hull; he also leaves many nieces, nephews, and dear friends, especially Gordon Trapp, Daniel Tullish, and Jack Mitchell.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, 4-8 p.m., in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., Hingham. A Celebration of Life service will be held in the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Friday prior to the funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow, at Hull Village Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168, or to the Hull High hockey program, 180 Main St., Hull MA 02045.
