Yolanda E. Galvin, at 102
Yolanda E. [Cordaro] Galvin of Hingham, formerly of Hull, died April 13. She was 102.
Mrs. Galvin thoroughly enjoyed her job as the administrative assistant at the U.S. Coast Guard Station in Boston for over 20 years. A civic-minded woman, Mrs. Galvin was president of the Hingham Women’s Club, active in the AARP, Hingham senior citizens, and Norwell cable TV. She and her late husband John used to enjoy traveling and attending shows at the Music Circus in Cohasset. She will be remembered as a loving, generous, hardworking, and selfless person, who was always willing to help those in need.
Beloved wife of the late John B. Galvin; loving mother of Elaine F. Player of Weymouth, John W. Galvin of Quincy, and the late Francine B. Palumbo; sister of the late Reno, Arthur, and Joseph Cordaro, Margaret O’Neil, and Josephine Conway. Mrs. Galvin also leaves four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services have been held. Memorial donations may be made to Pat Roche Hospice Home, 86 Turkey Hill Lane, Hingham, MA 02043.
