Carol E. Torrey, at 82

Carol E. [Putnam] Torrey of Hull, 82, died peacefully Nov. 9.
Mrs. Torrey was a longtime employee of Stop & Shop, retiring in 2013 from the Hingham location. She loved to go out to dinner with her girlfriends and play the penny slots at Foxwoods.
Beloved wife of 58 years of the late Roger A. Torrey, Sr.; loving mother of Carol T. Casey and her late husband, Timothy P., Jr., of Weymouth, Roger A. of Attleboro, and David C. of Hull, and “adopted daughter” Patty Young Gilbrook of Hull; cherished “Gammy” of Jillian T. Casey of Weymouth. Mrs. Torrey was the dear sister of Nancy Robinson and her husband, Bobby, of South Boston, and of the late June Ferris, Barbara Wynn, and Charles Putnam. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
