Obituary: Carol A. Doyle

Carol A. Doyle

Carol A. (Strickland) Doyle of Hull died December 7, 2023.

Mrs. Doyle adored her family and was very involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She traveled extensively with her husband, and in later years, her daughter. She enjoyed water aerobics at the Y, was an avid reader and walker, and loved the water, especially Gunrock Beach. Mrs. Doyle had worked at Marshall’s in Hingham since the store opened and retired in her 70s. She was recognized all over the world, given how long she had worked there and how many people knew her. She loved dancing and her Beefeater martini, extra extra dry with three olives. Mrs. Doyle was the life of the party and had a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.

Beloved wife of the late Francis W. Doyle, Jr.; cherished mother of Kathleen Tilden and her husband, Daniel, of Hull; Richard Doyle and his wife, Donna, of Weymouth; and Mathew Doyle and his wife, Corrine, of Hingham. Loving sister of David Namenson of Florida and the late Thomas Strickland. Devoted Nana of Julie Morris and her husband, Kevin; Jeanne Miller; Kevin Miller and his wife, Kerri; Kathryn Miller and her partner, Richard; Gregory Doyle; Meghan Doyle; Patrick Doyle; Bryan Doyle; and Colin Doyle. Loving great-Nana of Cassidy, Arieanna, Annabelle, Julia, Emmett, Joshua, Christian, Chase, Caroline, and Isaac. Also survived by her dear friend, Barbara Greenbaum.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, from 4-8 p.m. in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., Hingham. Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 9 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, Hingham. Burial in Milton Cemetery, Milton.
