Sharon Lewis, at 67
Following a courageous battle with breast cancer, Sharon (Callahan) Lewis died July 5 in Melbourne, Fla. She was 67.
A 1968 graduate of Hull High School, Ms. Lewis also spent part of her youth in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, where her father, Leo Callahan, was stationed with the U.S. Navy. Growing up in both locations gave Ms. Lewis a lifelong love of the ocean and a passion for long walks along the beach, an activity she continued during her sessions of chemotherapy.
Ms. Lewis attended the Massachusetts College of Art and enjoyed painting throughout her life; she was especially skilled at portraitures.
Always interested in new and varied experiences, Ms. Davis lived and worked in Nevada, Washington state, and Tel Aviv, Israel. While working at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, she had the opportunity to work with numerous celebrities, including Frank Sinatra. In later years she returned to Hull to live with her mother, Eileen Callahan, before moving to Florida, where she spent her last three years.    
Ms. Lewis is survived by her mother, Eileen Callahan, of Hull; her brother, Michael Callahan, and sister-in-law, Marion Callahan, of Palm Bay, Fla.; her aunts, Marguerite Footit, of Wareham, and Joyce Foley, of Medfield; a niece, Emily Giuggio, of Framingham; and a nephew, Patrick Callahan, of Georgia; in addition to innumerable cousins who loved her dearly.
In accordance with Ms. Lewis’s wishes, her remains will return to the ocean that was so much a part of her life. Following cremation, her ashes will be scattered into the water off Pemberton Point.
