Obituary: Nunziato Minasi

Nunziato Minasi, at 80
Nunziato “Nunzio” Minasi died Sunday at the South Shore Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 80.
Born in Calabria, Italy, Mr. Minasi emigrated to the United States in 1970 and was a laborer with Local 133 for many years. He enjoyed gardening, winemaking, foraging for mushrooms, and playing cards. The greatest joys in his life came from time spent with his family and friends. 
The beloved husband for 48 years of Nunziata ”Nancy” (Fazzolari) Minasi; he was the devoted father of Frank Minasi and his wife, Carol, of Hanover, and Rocco Minasi and his wife, Lori, of Holbrook. The loving grandfather of Andriana, Natalie, Nunzio, Rocco, Juliana, Abigail, and Sophia Minasi; he was the brother of Lina Fazzolari of Somerville, Vincenzina Deserto of New York, Pasquale and Rosa Minasi of Italy, and the late Nicola and Pina Minasi. Mr. Minasi also is survived by many nieces and nephews. 
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday, from 4-8 p.m., at Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., Hingham. His funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Church in Hull will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial, at Hanover Center Cemetery, will follow.
