Wallace J. Rodgerson, at 96
Wallace “Buck” James Rodgerson, of Weymouth, Hobe Sound, Fla., and Hull died Oct. 21 in Hingham. He was 96.
From 1942 to 1945, Mr. Rodgerson served in the Navy during World War II. He then operated and owned two restaurants, Buck and Bill’s Railroad Cafe and the Twin Oaks in Weymouth, until the 1970s. He subsequently turned his career toward the real estate industry as the owner of Alltech Realty, until he retired in 2016 at the age of 94.
He was the loving husband of the late Martha Jacobs Rodgerson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Rodgerson; his sons, Stephen Rodgerson and Gary Rodgerson; and his daughter, Julie Rodgerson. He will be missed by his surviving brother, Robert Rodgerson; his son, James Rodgerson; and his daughter, Susan Rodgerson, with whom he lived. He also leaves grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended family, and many friends. Services will be private.
