Obituary: Winifred Cook
Winifred Cook, at 79
Winifred [Waldron] Cook, a longtime Hull resident, died Feb. 2. She was 79.
Mrs. Cook was known as Winnie. She was born and raised in Batavia, New York. Massachusetts became her home, but Hull stole her heart.
Mrs. Cook raised her four kids in Hull, where she also ran her hair salon for 20+ years. She knew and loved numerous Hull families comprising several generations.
Mrs. Cook enjoyed bicycling, bowling, and bingo, but she loved being seaside with her dog, collecting sea glass, and talking to everyone she saw.
She leaves her children: Kellie Hashey and Stan Dzengelewski, Kathy and Scott Ciulla, Kristine Cook, and Steve and Angela Cook; seven siblings: Loretta Bauer, Joyce Harezga, Maggie Gilcrest, Chris Moore, Benny Waldron, Dennis Waldron, and Jim Waldron, nine grandsons; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 208 Samoset Ave., on Monday, March 13, at 10 a.m.
