Donald R. Bryanton, at 75
Donald Robert Bryanton, of Hingham and Bonita Springs, Fla., formerly of Hull, died Nov. 11, after a short illness. He was 75.
Mr. Bryanton attended Hingham High School and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He was a member of the New England Carpenters Union, Local 33, for 50 years. During his decades of involvement in land and marine construction, he worked for various contractors, including Abathaw Construction and Jay Cashman Inc. A few of his most significant contributions were the Big Dig, the enormous Central Artery tunnel construction project in Boston, and the Greenbush Railway through the South Shore. His work was his life’s passion, second only to his family. 
He leaves his beloved wife of 51 years, Kathleen Riley Bryanton. He was the son of the late Alden and Dorothy (Crozier) Bryanton; brother of Jean Willis, of Benita, Calif., and Alden Lawrence Bryanton, of Jacksonville, Fla. 
He is survived by his two children and their families, of whom he was so very proud: his daughter, Dawn Marie Bryanton-Peterson, and her husband, Earl, and their son Kyle, of Braintree; and his son, Peter Lawrence Bryanton, and his wife, Jeannie Avery Bryanton, and their children Colby, Patrick, and Avery, all of Granby, Conn. He was a cousin, uncle, and great-uncle to many and a devoted friend. 
His funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church, 147 North St., Hingham. Burial will be private.
