Obituary: Elizabeth A. Clifford

Elizabeth A. Clifford, at 88

Elizabeth “Betty” A. Clifford, of Hull and Florida, died peacefully Sept. 30 at South Shore Hospital, after a brief period of failing health. She was 88.
Beloved wife of the late Donald D. “Danno” Clifford and cherished life partner and companion of Joseph M. Penta; Mrs. Clifford was the loving mother of Linda M. Boyle and her husband, Lawrence, of Milton, Donna L. Lordan and her husband, Thomas, of New Jersey, Elizabeth S. “Beth” Hickox and her husband, James, of Weymouth, Karen A. Gordon and her husband, Al, of Westborough, David G. Clifford and his wife, Donna, of Florida, Paul B. Clifford and his wife, Debra, of Weymouth, Susan M. Clifford of Hull, and Stephen G. Clifford and his wife, JoEllen, of Georgia. Cherished “Grammy” of 21 grandchildren and “Gi Gi” of five great grandchildren, Mrs. Clifford also is survived by many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Church in Hull at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the church services. Visiting hours are omitted. Burial will be private.
The family wishes to extend its thanks to the nurses and medical practitioners at South Shore Hospital for their care and attention.
